Went to The Starting Line show last night at Slim's. I really love their songs "Up and Go", "Leaving", "Greg's Last Day" and "Best of Me" and they played them all! The club was really crowded and full of youngsters. Last.fm tells me that I was probably the oldest there :)
It was an amazing show anyway!
Suicidal Tendencies is playing at Slim's, San Francisco early December. Pretty long time, maybe like 5 or 6 years since the last time I saw them in Shinjuku, Tokyo. It was a secret show while they visited Japan as Infectious Grooves. I checked out their site and there's been no records out since 2001. Are they gonna just play old school S.T. songs? 'I'd be delighted to go :)
Just got back from Dashboard Confessional's show at the Warfield, SF. It was an awesome show... Opening acts by John Ralston and Augustana were very good, and the music between the plays was Jimmy Eat World's greatest hits (or Bleed American, I don't know). Spontaneous singalong with Sweetness was so great.
Chris came with his guitar and there was no band at all. And most of the songs we just did sing alongs. Most of the songs were from the past, like Swiss Army Romance or Dusk Summer.
In the end they (Chris with his friend John) played weezer's El Scorcho, which was so awesome.
Just ordered a ticket for Dashboard Confessional show in SF Warfield 10/19 Friday 7pm. It was $28 with $15 ticketmaster fee (Sigh). I guess there will be lots of young people in the show looking at their past shows at MTV etc. Who else gonna be there?
I downloaded their new stuff from Amazon this morning and it was good as always. It doesn't rock anymore and sounds a bit like folk songs, but the melody is catchy and easy to sing-along.
There will be shows by Yellowcard and Boys Like Girls in the Warfield this month as well. Wish they're in Slim's so the ticket is cheaper :/
